Just a few notes on the terminology I’ve used within this website and guides as I know some people can be quite particular with these things. I am male and heterosexual, so the balance of pages here are based on these experiences. But here’s a few things to know:
- I use the terms Master and submissive because they aren’t gender specific (I don’t have to put Dom(me) all the time). I also prefer the term Master, though the standard is Dom/submissive and Master/slave. If you prefer, replace Master and submissive with whatever you like as you read. This is simply simpler to write and my overall preference.
- I do understand that what I write here doesn’t fit everyone but this is a guide for some and a source of ideas for others. In general, my goal is to inspire and to help those trying things out for the first time.
- Out of habit, I will miss out on the he/she elements in here. I do not care at all what you lovely folks get up to, so do not take this as me being overly specific!
- I will not condone any abusive language here unless it is an example of a session… Going off on what other’s believe isn’t acceptable. You are always welcome to discuss but remember this is all about self-control.
- Aside from being hetero and a Dom/Master, I am very flexible in the form my relationships take, as long as the connection is there and it works for everyone. I am happy with subs/slaves/daughters/poly… it’s all about the dynamic.
I’ll probably add to this as I go along! Please comment on what you’d like to see, or on anything really. All the best! Ryan
